Hi Russ, I have the following reply for Gail McLean Shaw to her post of I think June 8. Gail - We have a Catherine McArthur in our family tree but we can't find out who she married. But, she was born in Kilmuir on the Isle of Skye, which as I'm sure you know is the traditional home of the McArthurs, Ross's, and Nicholsons. We have Ross and Nicholson names also in our family tree. I can't remember when Catherine was born without ploughing through a bunch of stuff, but I would think it would be around the 1830s to 1840s.
